Supervisor of MRT/PSH Housing Program
Tommy started working in the field as a recovery coach in 2013 at CVFC. He earned His AAS in Human Services in 2014 and Attained a BS in Social Work in 2016. Tommy Is a Credentialed Alcohol Substance Abuse Counselor In Training (CASAC-T), Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) and Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA). He Currently Serves as the Housing Counselor/Supervisor At CVFC.
Champlain Valley Family Center has contracted with the Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) to administer a grant to lease 8 one bedroom apartments in the City of Plattsburgh. Potential tenants who are high end Medicaid users, homeless and have a substance use disorder are referred from Clinton County Social Services for housing services. One full time counselor and two Recovery Coaches provide counseling, life-skills mentoring and supportive services to residents in this program in order to help them with a healthy transition into the community.
