Darlene joined the CVFC team in 2015 as Prevention Coordinator. She has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from American University. She is certified and trained in ASIST; safetalk; CONNECT; Family Connections Borderline and QPR. Darlene strongly believes in educating others to understand, accept and assist an individual in each stage of his or her recovery process. Her role as Prevention Coordinator includes counseling, peer support and one-on-one assessment as well as teaching skills training to help an individual integrate into the community and actualize his or her goals. Darlene would one day like to reach her own professional goal to see the Life Skills curriculum adopted and implemented in all Clinton County school districts.
